Presentation of Eldar Akhadov’s book “Turkic Toponyms.”
On April 25, 2025, I, as a poet, writer, linguist, educator, and the chairwoman of the “Innovative Progress and Support for Socio-Economic Development” Public Union,
participated in the book launch of Eldar Əhədov’s “Turkish
Toponyms.”
The event took place in an elegantly designed venue, one of the capital’s prominent cultural centers, the Writers’ Union hall, where guests were warmly welcomed with high hospitality. Eldar Ahadov is a poet-journalist, geologist-scientist who stands out for his scientific research as well as literary creativity. Living in the city of Krasnoyarsk, the scholar expresses his connection to the Azerbaijani land through his heartfelt words and thoughtful articles and poems. His numerous international and local awards,medals, and diplomas serve as a testament to his prestige in
both the scientific and literary worlds.
The presentation was conducted in a roundtable format,where the prominent intellectuals, scientists, and writers of our country embarked on a journey through the traces of
our historical past, deeply discussing the geographical and linguistic aspects of Turkish toponyms and their role in our national and cultural heritage. During the event, speeches were made by Member of Parliament Fazil Mustafa, prominent ophthalmologist and writer Pasha Qalbinur,
president of the “Luç” literary-creative association Tofig Malikli, editor-in-chief of “El” magazine Sudaba Servi, and other intellectuals.
